PSP that stands for Play Station Portable is a portable video games console created and sold by Sony Computer Entertainment. PSP was first introduced in May 2004 on E3 press conference. The PSP was released in Japan on 11 may 2004, in the United States on 24 March 2005, and lastly on October in Europe and Australia.
The PSP console is a first portable video games console that has embeded optical drives format UMD as a main data storage. It is also important that PSP has a quiet big screen, a lot of multimedia options and the option of connecting to the internet and other PSP users .
The console has higher computing power and more multimedia options than nintendo DS - its competitor. Introducing Slim&Lite PSP in 2007 made the sales growing up twice in the North America and four times in the Great Britain.
The PSP S&L enables connecting with independent TV screen with one of three possible types of cable: S-Video, Component (YPBPR), D-Terminal (YPBPR) and Composite.
